Welcome to our Peer Support Group for Partners of Neurodivergent Individuals! We understand that loving and supporting someone who is neurodivergent can bring both unique challenges and profound rewards. Our monthly meet-ups, on the last Saturday of the month in Banbury, provide a warm and welcoming environment for you to share experiences, gain insights, and find shared understanding.

Join us for a morning of open conversation, where you can connect with others who share your journey. Together, we will explore strategies for support, celebrate victories, and build a community of resilience and strength. Whether you're seeking advice, companionship, or simply a space to express your feelings, you are not alone.

Safe and Supportive

All group members have encountered shared challenges within their relationships that foster immediate empathy and a shared understanding of the ‘double empathy problem’, where both partners struggle to understand each other’s lived experience due to their differing neurodiversity.

Finally, you will meet others who will understand and validate your experience.

What's in a Name

With or Without You encapsulates the complex emotions felt by partners of neurodivergent individuals, reflecting the deep love and connection that exists in these relationships, while also acknowledging feelings of isolation that can arise.

This name serves as a reminder of the duality of presence and absence that many partners face, highlighting both the challenges and the profound bonds that can be formed.

Relaxed and Informal, Free to Attend

Although we follow a structured format and timetable, the group atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and informal. WOWU facilitators are there to ensure the group runs smoothly and that everyone who wishes to speak has the opportunity to do so. There is never any pressure to share—you are very welcome to come along, listen, and participate in whatever way feels right for you.

11.30 Optional Prayer & Bible reading
